Kashi Khushi (VRS-01)

Hermaphrodite flower with cluster bearing fruiting habit. Early maturing variety having light green fruit with ten dark superficial and continuous longitudinal ridges. Suitable for kharif season and can be also grown in spring season. 130-150 fruits/plant, yield (12.7 t/ha). Recommended for cultivation in Uttar Pradesh, vide gazette notification number S.O. 692(E), dated 05.02.2019.

  • Sowing: 1st fortnight of February and 2nd fort night of June to first fortnight of July.
  • Spacing Raw to row : 1.75m and Plant to plant : 0.7-0.8 m
  • Fertilizer: 80:60:60 kg/ha N.P.K. + 2 foliar spray of water soluble fertilizer 19:19:19 (NPK) @ 5-6 g/litre of water at 25-30 days after sowing and again at the time of flower initiation.
  • Seed requirement 3.5-4.0 kg/ha
