High yielding variety with round, purple, shiny fruits with green calyx, less seeds and soft pulp suitable for Bharta making. Sturdy plant growth, tolerates water logging for 3-4 days after 2 weeks of transplanting, No serious diseases have been observed. Fruits are ready for first harvest in 70-75 DAT and has good market potential in North India. Remunerative for the farmers due to high yield (500-520 q/ha) and demand by consumers in North India particularly Uttar Pradesh. Recommended for cultivation in Uttar Pradesh.
